Deadwooding large Oak tree in Dursley

Tree Safety Works – Littlecombe Housing Estate, Dursley

C H Stokes Tree Surgery & Fencing recently completed a multi-day project in the Littlecombe housing area of Dursley, following recommendations outlined in a professional tree report. The work was carried out to improve the overall safety and presentation of the site, particularly in areas close to footpaths, homes, and communal green spaces.

A Range of Safety and Clearance Tasks

The project involved a wide scope of works, including:

  • Complete tree removals where trees were deemed hazardous or structurally unsound
  • Targeted deadwood removal to reduce risk from falling branches
  • Selective crown reductions and limb removals to mitigate failure risk from historic wounds or visible crown deterioration
  • Thorough clearance of overgrown areas, which had been left unmanaged for some time and were heavily congested with brambles, invasive growth, and unmanaged hedgerows

Our team worked efficiently and with care over several days to ensure minimal disruption to local residents, while restoring safety and visual appeal to the shared spaces.

Local Support and Appreciation

The warm response from residents was a welcome bonus, with several locals kindly bringing out hot drinks and chocolates for the team as a gesture of appreciation. It’s always rewarding to know that our work is valued by the communities we serve.
